PSG remain in a running battle with wonderboy Kylian Mbappe. The situation has taken a sharp twist, with the club doing all it can to convince the 23-year-old to remain at the Parc des Princes. The owners of Paris Saint-Germain obviously probably believe money can solve almost all of their woes. The position they find themselves in is all about ego.

Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Kylian Mbappe and is keen to acquire the services of the Frenchman. The desire from Los Merengues has been seen as a slight by the hierarchy at PSG. As reported earlier about their intent, they are doing all they can to ensure Los Blancos don’t get their man.

The French club have gone a step further to convince Mbappe that Paris is the place for him. They have made him an offer they believe he can’t refuse.

PSG place a humongous offer on the table for Mbappe

Is there any footballer on the planet that earns €50 million per year? If you look past Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, there isn’t any other player that comes close to that figure. It is the amount that PSG is offering Kylian Mbappe to remain at the club. While Mbappe has not accepted the offer, one wonders where FFP is looking. It seems the French club are in bed with the managers of FFP.

Reports suggest that PSG have offered Kylian Mbappe a two-year deal to stay. The deal is worth €50m (£41.7m) per year. Real Madrid have been circling and believe they will get their man this summer, but it is hard to see Los Merengues matching the offer PSG have on the table.

Kylian Mbappe is in the final six months of his current contract at PSG. The 23-year-old is a free agent, with Real Madrid his most likely destination if he decides it's time to leave the French capital. Can the young lad resist the lure of Qatari lucre? Time will tell.

What would it be for Mbappe?

Mbappe may be enjoying the spotlight generated by the interest in him by Real Madrid and the fight to keep him at the Parc des Princes. The Frenchman says he is yet to decide on his future. He can’t delay the decision forever. It has to be made either today or by the end of the season.

Mbappe also hinted at a possible short-term stay at PSG to surpass Edinson Cavani's all-time record of 200 goals for the club. If he chooses to remain at PSG, Real Madrid may never come back for him as Los Merengues has done everything within their power to convince him that Madrid is the place to be.

Le Parisien reports that PSG has offered Mbappe a new two-year deal worth €50 million (£41.7m) per year. The outlet claims a signing-on bonus of €100m (£83.4m) is also on the table.

PSG are desperate to keep the Frenchman, who scored his 155th and 156th goals for the Ligue 1 giants in a win over Saint-Etienne. It takes him level with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the club's all-time goalscoring charts.
