Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool failed to turn their interest in the midfielder into a concrete bid. However, they could reignite it in January.
Yves Bissouma is attracting interest from several clubs in England. Brighton have managed to keep their suitors at bay this summer, but a January raid is not far-fetched.
Brighton & Hove Albion have spent a total of around €57 million this summer in beefing up their squad, but a couple of their players have had to walk out of the Falmer stadium.

Despite a positive book balance, Brighton are still looking over their shoulders with one of their players attracting interest from some of England’s top clubs. Yves Bissouma has Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool all looking to prise him away from Brighton.

Arsenal’s summer mistake
Arsenal have had a litany of purchases that have not come well under Mikel Arteta.
The gunners needed a midfielder with steel, and Bissouma was up there in the list of perhaps the most affordable, but Arteta let the opportunity slip by.
The Gunners’ poor performances have been put under the microscope, and blame laid squarely at the foot of Arteta. Arteta has opted to keep faith with Granit Xhaka, one seen as a poor decision in the light of his records at the Emirates.
An opportunity to offload the Swiss came when AS Roma made a bid for him, but the Gunners were obstinate about the whole affair and instead offered him a new contract.
Come January, Arsenal will face competition for the services of Bissouma.
Liverpool have a quiet summer
Liverpool also showed interest in the Malian midfielder, but a paucity of funds ensured their business this summer was low key.
The Anfield giants only buy this summer was Ibrahima Konate, who arrived from RB Leipzig.
The departure of Gini Wijnaldum was an opportunity to reload with Bissouma, but Klopp has decided to keep faith with Fabinho, Thiago and Jordan Henderson.
