Following the latest development, several Premier League clubs would be interested in signing Dybala.
What must Juventus do to get back to their glory days? The Turin based side seems to be going through a rebuilding phase, with some players leaving in the summer. The arrival of Massimiliano Allegri was supposed to rejuvenate the side and get them firing on all cylinders.
Massimiliano Allegri, who once led the team to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2017, has struggled this season. Allegri has been unable to get the best out of certain players. The Bianconeri were bundled out of the UEFA Champions League by Villarreal last week. They lost 3-0 to the Spanish side in front of their fans, with the loss signalling a clear out is imminent.
Paulo Dybala has not been able to convince Allegri of his importance to the team, which has left him on the periphery of theng XI. The Argentine has decided to leave the Bianconeri this summer, alerting many clubs into making a move for him.
Dybala’s time at Juventus is up
There were great expectations for Paulo Dybala at Juventus, but the Argentine forward has failed to live up to expectations. The talented attacking player has had some brilliant moments while at the Turin based side, but it seems his journey with the Bianconeri is over.
Dybala will be out of contract in the summer and will walk out of the door as a free agent. There were months of speculation over Dybala’s future with Juventus, but Bianconeri fans would be displeased with the outcome.
His contract expires in the summer, but the Argentine would not be short of suitors.
Recent meetings with Dybala did not go to script for Juventus, with the Argentine turning down their latest offer in favour of leaving the club for free.
Juventus shoot themselves in the foot
Juventus were of two minds concerning Dybala. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Dybala’s agent was in a two-hour-long discussion with Juventus.
Juventus could have sorted out Dybala’s future in October 2021. There was a verbal agreement for the forward to continue with Juventus, but the club did a U-turn. An attempt to renegotiate fell flat on its face, as Dybala refused to sign to a new deal, preferring to make a Bosman switch.
With Dybala choosing to leave Juventus, some suggestions claim that Dybala could leave the Serie A entirely instead of joining a rival. The decision to leave Serie A would boost Premier League clubs, who have had an eye on the forward.
In 2019, Tottenham showed interest in the Argentine but came up short. Manchester United were also interested in bringing the forward to Old Trafford. Just recently, Liverpool were also named as one of the interested parties in the 28-year-old.
Injuries were a bane to Dybala, which led to Juventus withdrawing their first offer to the Argentine.
Dybala has scored eight Serie A goals with five assists this season. He also has 13 goals from 29 appearances in all competitions.
