Many Manchester United fans are still disappointed with the tenure of immediate past manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian spent a lot of money on player acquisitions only to dump them on the bench. The actions of the former Manchester United player has left a toxic atmosphere at the club as they seek to change the current culture.
Players like Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek, Eric Bailly and Paul Pogba seek an exit from Manchester United. Lingard and van de Beek are both disappointed as the club has blocked their moves to leave, with no guarantee of playing time.
Recently, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial left for Sevilla on loan. After a disappointing spell at United, the French international should rejuvenate his career at the Andalusian club.
Another prized asset has left the club on loan. Winger Amad Diallo, who was not allowed to shine under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has left the club.
Diallo joins Rangers on loan
Donny van de Beek must be wondering what he has to do to get a move away from Manchester United. A deal to join Crystal Palace is in the offing, but it has yielded no fruits, and the Dutchman may have to see out the season on the United bench.
Meanwhile, youngster Amad Diallo has secured a loan to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers. The club confirmed the loan signing on Thursday afternoon. Rumours were rife of the young man joining the club, but Rangers have confirmed the news. The club said Amad Diallo would play for the Scottish giants till the end of the season.
Amad Diallo joined Manchester United in the winter of 2021. The 19-year-old Ivorian came highly-rated from Serie A side Atalanta for a fee of €21 million (£18.7 million) that could reach €41m (£36.5m) with add-ons.
Since he arrived at Old Trafford, Amad has only played three League games, one Cup game and made five appearances in Europe. One of those appearances came after he returned from a thigh injury.
Excitement for Gers
There is excitement around the Ibrox stadium at the loan acquisition of Amad Diallo from Manchester United. As seen on the club’s official website, the teenager is also delighted at the opportunity to play for Glasgow Rangers.
Rangers are challenging on several fronts. They remain in contention for the league and are also challenging for the Europa League. For Amad, it is an excellent opportunity to test himself and grow. He looks forward to meeting up with his teammates and the fans at Ross County on Saturday.
Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is also excited at having the talented youngster in their midst. According to the Dutch manager, Amad is a player he has been aware of for some time, and he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sign him when it arose.
Rangers sportingctor Ross Wilson claims that they worked hard with Manchester United and Amad’s agents to tie up an agreement to bring him to Ibrox Stadium. He added that they were excited to have secured his signature as other clubs were interested in getting him.
