Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly released £150 million for the transfer of Dortmund striker Erling Haaland to Chelsea.
Haaland, who is one of the hottest commodities in world football at the moment, is said to have come into the radar of the Russian billionaire. Abramovich is reported to be Adamant in his decision to bring the 20-year-old striker to Stamford Bridge and would not take NO for an answer.
Dortmund sportingctor Michael Zorc has stated in no uncertain terms that their striker is not for sale.
Chelsea’s move for Haaland will, however, see a host of attacking talents leave the club. According to Bild, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Tammy Abraham, and Hakim Ziyech would all be sold by the Champions League holders to recoup Haalands’ transfer fee.
Tammy Abraham is not a favourite of Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel, who has opted to use Kai Havertz as a false nine. Tuchel also left Abraham out of the Emirate FA Cup final matchday squad.
Callum Odson-Odoid brightly under the German tactician but fell out of favour as the German began to settle down in Stamford bridge
Ziyech has only been with the Champions of Europe for only a year but is said to be dissatisfied with his lack of regular football.
All three could be sold by the Champions of Europe, who have already sold Fikayo Tomori to Milan, to recoup Haaland’s fee.
Although the best bookmakers specialised in PL already made Chelsea one of the favourites to finish top four in the Premier League, the addition of Haaland could see the Londoners win the Premier League and even retain their Champions League crown.
Haaland’s breathtaking stats make him extremely desirable
At only 20 years old, Erlin Haaland is regarded as one of Europe’s deadliest finishers. He scored a total of 41 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund last season.
He also finished as top scorer in the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League season scoring ten goals in just eight games.
Haaland's numbers in front of goal last season is so impressive that it rivals those of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
