Hello Alison, for those who are not familiar with you, can you please give us a short overview of your career journey and how you became the COO at Thrill Partners?
I’ve worked in the iGaming industry for the last 13 years, 11 of which focused on affiliation and acquisition. When I was approached to join Thrill Partners on this new adventure, I saw it as a great personal growth opportunity where I could diversify my skill set and be able to give my input based on the knowledge I had acquired throughout the years. Considering that Thrill Partners with BetBeast.com is still in its infancy and start-up stage, my role is quite fluid. Even though the majority of my time might be spent on daily business operations, I am still heavily involved in marketing and acquisition.
Can you share a significant life experience or moment that has had a profound impact on your leadership journey and the way you approach your responsibilities at BetBeast?
I believe it is more a collection of life experiences; experiencing different management strategies and work relationships, that shaped my leadership journey and how I approach the different challenges that come my way. Working my way up in this industry from a junior role to the role I hold today has led me to understand the different challenges faced by multiple departments in the industry. It is also pivotal to remain in constant communication with all the different sectors that drive the business. It is ultimately a chain where one impacts the other.
In your opinion, what are the most important factors for achieving top performance in the competitive iGaming industry?
Business Agility as well as cross-departmental communication and collaboration are probably two of the most important factors that drive business success.
Product, UX, Marketing, Acquisition, VIP, and Customer Support, to mention a few, are some key departments that I strongly believe need to be in communication with each other.
It is extremely important to have constant collaboration between different departments, to identify potential improvements together.
To be able to react and adapt quickly to market changes, especially in our fast-paced industry, is vital. It is crucial to jump on upcoming opportunities with agility.
This is one of the strong points of working with a start-up like Thrill Partners. We have a strong communication flow in place, which allows us to be agile, therefore positively impacting our performance.
How do you create a strong brand identity and distinguish yourself from other brands in crowded markets like iGaming?
Gaining market share in an industry that is swarmed with casinos and sportsbook operators is probably one of the most difficult feats to accomplish, especially since we see a wild array of new online casinos and sportsbooks sprouting up every month.
We’ve got an awesome team in place that is dedicated to making BetBeast a success. Ultimately, it is about providing a pleasant, all-round, and thrilling journey for our players. We keep the player in mind every step of the way. The user experience needs to be fun, solid, smooth and with minimal disturbance every step of the way. We make use of the latest technologies to ensure all this.
It is also about listening to the player’s feedback and learning from that. Ultimately, who can provide you with the most valuable feedback, if not the players themselves.
For Thrill Partners the intention is to grow and keep expanding, without lacking quality.
How do you balance the need to attract new players with the need to retain existing ones through bonuses and promotions?
The welcome bonuses offered to new players are highly appealing in all the jurisdictions we operate in, and we make sure that we remain up to date with the acquisition trends. However, bonuses are not enough to ensure the attraction of new players. We have also made it a point to have a seamless registration and deposit flow, with a wide array of payment methods so that our players can always find their preferred payment method. We don’t only strive to bring in new players, but also ensure that they find our brand so appealing that they return time and time again.

What are the key advantages and difficulties of implementing cryptocurrency payments in BetBeast?
Cryptocurrency payments through Coinspaid as a payment method has been a smooth journey to implement with very few challenges, if any.
It is important however to continuously monitor due to cryptocurrencies being highly volatile.
Considering the ever-increasing popularity of cryptocurrency, it made sense that we would implement it at BetBeast as a payment option, together with all the other payment methods for other currencies. Apart from reaching the more traditional players through the most popular FIAT currencies and payment methods, cryptocurrency has allowed us to reach a wider variety of players; those that have embraced the world of crypto.
What are some of the key operational challenges and opportunities you foresee for BetBeast and the iGaming industry as a whole?
The competition within the industry for market share keeps increasing while legislation becomes more stringent, making it more challenging to see the fruits of our labour. However, the digital world keeps evolving and we are always being presented with new marketing opportunities. That is why it is extremely important to be agile in this business, to keep the innovation flowing, and to always explore new market trends.
What are your tips for handling player feedback and complaints?
It is important to feel the player’s pulse by giving our players that personal touch when needed, not only when it comes to our VIPs but also in terms of providing the support that a player needs to have an optimal experience. We work hand in hand with the customer support team to gauge players’ feedback and struggles if they have any. We don’t just collect the feedback, but we act on it too! This way, players are satisfied and see that we value them as individuals and not numbers.

What are the biggest challenges you face when managing affiliate relationships, and how do you address them?
Building the initial rapport with affiliates is key. It is important that we address to them the fact that even though BetBeast.com is a new brand, there is a team behind it that has decades of experience in the industry and that we are aware of what drives a brand to be successful.
As we’ve mentioned before, this industry is highly competitive, and demand exceeds supply in some cases, driving the acquisition prices to be sky-high, sometimes even more than a player’s LTV. It is important to understand that both parties need to make a profit to succeed. This is why it’s been great working with Betpack as there is this mutual understanding and respect.
